SUMMARY OF JOB: The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that the agency management system (Maconomy) is utilized correctly by the company, and to generate reports from the system to assist in the management of the business. Analysis and interpretation of the reporting will also be strongly encouraged. This role sits within the Commercial area of the Agency Finance team

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Commercial / Management Reporting
· Produce regular reports for analysis and use by the Finance and Business teams
· Understand what information is valuable and necessary, and design reports accordingly
· Standardise report production where possible
· Ad hoc tasks as necessary
Financial Controls
· Ensure all timesheets are completed in the Agency reporting system (Maconomy)
· Assist users to ensure accuracy of time reporting
· Input time into Maconomy where personnel are unable
· Facilitate set up of new suppliers on system
· Set up job numbers on system
· Assist in ensuring SOX compliance of systems
· Complete credit applications
· Facilitate Bacs and Cash Transfers
Process Management
· Active role in Maconomy training of new and existing users
· Answer Maconomy access and set-up requests
· Troubleshooting of Maconomy issues
Core Skills

· Look after the smooth week-by-week running of the account and the effective management of all Client projects

· Effective upward and downward delegation is essential.
· As the Account Manager moves towards promotion to Senior Account Manager he/she will begin to show leadership and drive in thinking of innovative solutions to business/strategic problems and in merchandising the Agency's services.
Contribution towards insights
· Understand the challenges facing Client's business in the short-term – good understanding of financial outlook and ‘International business’. (I.e. reading the Economist and FT)
· Obtain a thorough understanding of all aspects of the brand - from reading reports and related literature
· Actively contribute to discussions on strategy and advertising development.
Contribution towards Ideas
· Work with Account Director/Planner (and individually for smaller briefs) to write and give inspirational creative briefs
· Keep in regular contact with Creatives during development of ideas, keeping them supplied with any useful stimulus and helping to ensure they remain motivated and enthusiastic
· Be a sound judge of creative work, able to coherently argue the case for or against creative work based on the brief and factual accuracy, both internally and with the Client
· Build up an excellent understanding of brand guidelines.
Contribution towards Implementation
· Ability to work with relevant internal parties to produce accurate cost estimates and timings plans
· Sound knowledge of print and digital production processes to be able to quickly pick up integrated briefs
· Responsible for ensuring that all estimates are presented and approved by Client expediently and that good financial records of everything are kept and maintained
· Has a thorough working knowledge of all Agency systems (knowledge of Maconomy or similar preferable)
· Ability to judge priorities across several pieces of business and varied levels of activity
· Have good eye for detail, ensuring the quality and accuracy of all materials that leave the Agency
· Ensure that all invoices are issued quickly and correctly and that reconciliations are produced as appropriate
· Make certain an evaluation of every major campaign is produced bringing together information from all relevant parties and maintaining a guard book

The role involves researching and cross-checking demographic and venue data in order to plan the most effective locations for activity to take place, managing the booking administration and pre-checking venues prior to live activity.
You will need to be someone who enjoys using their common sense and investigative abilities to analyse data sources and draw conclusions from them. As communicating with these venues is also a large part of the role you will need to be happy to be constantly on the phone, persuading and negotiating with venue managers.
